FORGOT THAT I NEVER POSTED THE FINAL INSTALLMENT OF THIS SERIES!!! In my opinion, #4 this is the best disc in the collection. There are a dozen classics ranging from the east coast roots of Freestlye (the genre and the group), across the pond to the Brittish electro-glam of ABC, back to the wet coast with L.A. Dream Team and the Egyptian Lover (on here twice as himself and Jaime Jupitor). Along with the Dark Side of Disco compilation posted earlier, you’ve got enough computer music to rock any party back-to-the-future!
If you’ve been keeping up with these posts for the last 2 weeks, you’ll be excited to finally have the last installment in the Dark Side of Disco series. This one is my personal favorite because it contains some of the rarest 12″ mixes in the entire collection and really gets deep into that dark-sided groove. Look out next week for a special mix from yours truly, recapping the best moments in this series, and stay tuned for the next compilation set up on the chopping block, Street Jams: Electric Funk Vol. 1-4.
Part II of compilation Monday continues with the second title in the Dark Side of Disco series. Today I debated posting this up because it’s just too good! Do you deserve it? Probably not, but who am I to judge, right?
I’ve been on this compilation kick for the last few weeks and started to feel greedy for not sharing with my friends. So starting today, every Monday i will post up a new compilation of amazing tracks you never knew you so desperately needed…
First up is a Volume 1 of the Dark Side of Disco series. These compilations focus on RARE remixes, extends, and dubs of classic 80′s tracks. Don’t sleep on this!
